Tournament Guidelines

Event Regulations

  1. The Tournament Registration Fee is Rs. 3000, Payable before the start of the event.
  2. All teams must report to the venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match time. A team failing to report within 10 minutes of the scheduled starting time shall forfeit the game by walkover, and the victory shall be awarded to the opposing team. All matches are scheduled to commence immediately after the completion of the preceding match; therefore, teams are advised to remain present and ready well in advance, as actual tip-off times may vary depending on the duration of earlier games.
  3. Each team shall consist of a maximum of 12 players, 1 Coach, and 1 Manager. Only individuals whose names appear on the officially approved team roster shall be eligible to participate in the tournament.
  4. Only the registered players, Coach, and Manager listed on the official team roster shall be permitted to occupy the team bench. No unauthorized person or outsider shall be allowed in the team bench area. The Team Coach and/or Manager shall be responsible for ensuring compliance. Any violation shall result in a Technical Foul being charged against the team bench, and repeated violations may lead to further disciplinary action.
  5. All teams must compete in proper basketball uniforms with matching jerseys displaying clearly visible and unique playing numbers on the front and back. Teams not properly attired may be refused participation until the deficiency is rectified.
  6. Departmental players and any player who is currently suspended, barred, or declared ineligible by the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF) shall not be permitted to participate. Any team found fielding an ineligible player shall be liable to disqualification from the tournament, and all matches involving that player may be forfeited.
  7. Pool games shall be played using a running clock. The game clock shall stop only in the following situations: During all charged time-outs; During all free throws; When the ball goes out of bounds to a farther distance requiring retrieval; During the last one (1) minute of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters; and During the last two (2) minutes of the 4th quarter.
  8. Semi Finals & Final games shall be played on stop watch. Except as modified above, the Official FIBA Basketball Rules shall apply.
  9. Players, Coaches, Managers, team officials, and supporters are expected to maintain the highest standards of Any act of misconduct, abusive language, threatening behaviour, fighting, intimidation, or bringing the game into disrepute shall render the individual and/or team liable to disciplinary action. Serious misconduct by any player, coach, manager, team official, or supporters associated with a team may result in the immediate expulsion of the entire team from the tournament, in addition to any further disciplinary measures imposed by the Organizing Committee and/or the Pakistan Basketball Federation.
  10. The decisions of the Referees on matters arising during play shall be final. Decisions of the Tournament Technical Committee concerning eligibility, scheduling, protests, discipline, and interpretation of these regulations shall also be final and binding on all participating teams.
  11. Any protest must be submitted in writing by the Team Coach or Manager to the Tournament Director within 15 min after the end of the game, where the scoresheet is signed by the team Captain filing the protest right after the end of the game, accompanied by the protest fee of Rs. 5000. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to interpret, amend, or supplement these regulations in the best interest of the tournament, and its decisions shall be final and binding.
